Two or three days ago I asked if I could change schools.
I feel like I am spending too much time with my host-brother, which at the moment is not a bad thing - at all. He has always been there as a means of support, helping me to understand by speaking my language, introducing me to friends and always being there for me through my first few weeks of school and hockey trainings.
The problem is this:
- We share the same Hockey team
- We share the same School/Classes
- We share the same room (Until July)
- We share the same friends
Being around the same person 24hours a day, I haven't been forced to make my own friends - I have become friends with his friends. It's comfortable, it's easy and they are all really nice, but like anything: there is a catch.
I always have my International friends, and I love spending time with them, but if things continue the way they are, I won't have my own circle of german friends, I would have my host brothers.
There is nothing wrong with him, his friends, or our school - I am only cautious of what may happen in the future.
